I figured that I have a few 'nature' pictures, and they need to be sorted into one album. People often refer to this as OCD.
Protective Space
Took this when visiting a shanty town in Bombay (Mumbai). The entrance you can see is one to a hut or a 'jopatpatti' - a slum house made of brick and concrete walls and an aluminium foil above as a roof. The doors are blue tin sheets or rickety wooden planks that barely close, but people lock them anyway. Force can be used to enter, but the rate of this happening is perhaps less than 10%. But yes, it happens. People's houses are broken into even though community norms do not permit. Perhaps there always exists a threat to these norms.
Anyway. This is a Home. It isn't as safe, but the protection it offers seems to provide its members with a required level of comfort.
